 Mean High Elf Lord Build

Okay it's not an army list, but character builds in fantasy can be very varied because of all the magic items and you can get some good synergies. Check this one out



High Elf General, on Warhorse with heavy armor and greatweapon
Magic Items;
Vambraces of Defence, Dragonhelm, Crown of command



This character can move 18", has 3 wounds at only toughness three but he has a 2+ re-rollable armor save, followed by a 4+ward which improves to a 2+ ward against flaming attacks.
Remember in Fantasy you get both saves so that's a 2+ save, reroll if failed, then roll the ward if that fails. Also the crown of command makes him and any unit he joins stubborn which means unmodified Ld 10, even if he loses combat by 4-5 whatever he tests on Ld10.

Well? deadly or what?

oh and offensivly he has 4 S6 attacks that reroll if missed and Ws8

Legit, I can't wait to make a gross-tacular Vampire Lord. I hear they can be pretty brutal.

But ya, that is some pretty good stuff right there.

Dag yo, that elf is gonna cut things to ribbons. Rerollable attacks, AND saves. Definitely survivable, and unless you suddenly choke on a die that can only roll ones, I can see it causing a lot of damage.

The ward save is usable against ALL magical attacks right? seems like a vulnerability (since there's not many) if you're facing, say, Dark Magic.


I'm getting more concerned about all these VC armies..... gonna have to pack Magical Damage or Weapon, so that shades/coach etc. don't just tarpit/kill all units...

sry 294 pts for that elf lord, which is 100 less than my wizard lord

magical attacks take away the ward saves of non khorn demons, and wood elf forestspirits but that is all. as for undead, yes there etheral creatures can be dangerous but if you do have a unit or model with magical attacks its hard for them to avoid it cause being immune to phsycology undead can't flee charges that they want to avoid.

and remember if they fail to do wounds you can just kill them with static combat res, 3 ranks, banner and flank charge is already combat result 6... coach does 3 wounds and takes 3 itself because it lost combat by 3

ya theres alot to learn and you can only do so by playing.... I'm in the same boat with 40k..... what do you mean I can't pre measure???
